Oasis funds seek returns higher than those delivered by more conventional investment products. Risk is always higher where potential reward is high.
Our funds are not offered to the general public. They are made available only to sophisticated investors, professional clients and high net worth individuals for whom such products are suitable. Nothing on this website is an offer, an invitation, or advice to invest.
Our objectives
Asset classes we have taken the trouble to understand.
Oasis has identified alternative asset classes it believes will perform well over the coming three to five years. We employ specialist staff and contractors against that objective, and we always invest ourselves — we are not asking investors to take a risk we will not take.
We then seek to maximise the potential reward by forming funds specific to those asset classes, investing for and alongside our clients, and sharing our knowledge, expertise and the rewards of the effort with investors. New alternative products are developed and introduced regularly for our institutional and professional clients.
A fair share
We get paid after investors do.
Oasis funds are set up with transparency and a fair deal for investors as paramount considerations. All the information we hold relating to fund investment performance is shared with our investors, most of it available online on pages fed directly by the fund's administrators.
Fully independent administrators control all subscription administration, the movement of funds for investment, general fund performance reporting and administration, and the return of capital and investment gains to investors. They also prepare for and instruct the fund audits.
Our fee structures are set so that the vast majority of our remuneration is performance-related — and then only after investors have received a priority return on their investment. With the exception of a small set-up fee, nothing is charged until capital and a priority return have been distributed.
A changed world
The old formula is finished.
Rule books have been rewritten, and many of the old approaches to investment are no longer valid. Even sophisticated investors find it difficult to find a safe route into higher-yielding opportunities.
The managers who will prosper are those who have adopted transparent practices towards their investors and stepped away from the outmoded formula of set fees regardless of outcome. Oasis applies best practice for that environment: minimum agreed investor returns before any promote fee is earned by the manager.
The value of investments can fall as well as rise. Past performance is not a guide to future performance, and you may not get back the amount you invested.
